CoronaCheck™

Testing for SARS-CoV-2 in Exhaled Breath

Illustration_1.jpg

A unique, rapid and effective solution in SARS-CoV-2 testing

CoronaCheck™ offers a non-invasive, fully automated test for SARS-CoV-2 in Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC).

CoronaCheck™ expands on the CE-marked Inflammacheck® device which is the only device in the market designed to collect EBC and test for its compounds directly at ‘Point of Care’ (PoC)

Non-invasive, simple breathing is all that is required to perform a test

When testing with CoronaCheck™, a test subject simply mounts a disposable test cartridge in the device and breathes through it for 1-2 minutes to collect a small sample of EBC.

As soon as enough sample has been collected, the test assay follows automatically to provide the result in less than 5 minutes.

When the test is completed, the test cartridge is simply disposed of.

Safety for test subjects and operators

The EBC is captured, tested, and trapped in an enclosed part of the cartridge.

Thereby, CoronaCheck™ meets the demanding standards in shielding and protection of healthcare staff as well as test subjects set when testing for SARS-CoV-2.

No sample handling or laboratory equipment is required. Operating the CoronaCheck™ requires no special training, and the original Inflammacheck® has been CLIA waived in the US.

Testing directly for the virus itself

CoronaCheck™ uses a biosensor to test for the virus. The sensor offers high specificity and sensitivity, test results in less than 5 minutes and a cost per test which is aimed to be under $10/£8.

The sensor platform is screen-printed and coated with a macro-molecule making it specific to the surface of the virus.
